Loose Connection is an eclectic four-piece born from the heart of Greensboro, North Carolina. Blending the free-flowing spirit of the Grateful Dead, the soulful grooves of Stevie Wonder, and the easy sway of Bob Marley, their original sound is a vibrant fusion of party anthems, reggae vibes, boogie rhythms, and exploratory jams.
Formed by longtime friends and collaborators—Alexander Mark Underwood (guitar/vocals), Matt Jaggers (guitar/theremin), Zak Pepe (bass/synthesizer/vocals), and Logan Wilkins (drums/percussion)—Loose Connection has been lighting up venues across central North Carolina for the past three years. With two albums under their belt and a devoted grassroots following, the band also hits the road annually for a summer tour across western New York.
Known as a “gateway band to jam music,” Loose Connection seamlessly weaves familiar favorites with dynamic originals and improvisational flourishes, crafting live sets that are both accessible and adventurous. Their chemistry on stage and genuine love for playing music together create an atmosphere where the line between performer and audience dissolves—every show is a celebration.
Loose Connection isn’t just a band; they’re a vibe, a good time, and a reminder that music is best when it’s shared. Come for the tunes—stay for the jam.
