Rooster Walk 14 lights up Martinsville, VA, with a stellar lineup from May 23-26, featuring North Mississippi Allstars, Big Something, Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers, and more. The festival welcomes back Emmylou Harris, Cory Wong, and the Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band, among others, for an unforgettable Memorial Day Weekend at Pop’s Farm.
Rooster Walk has a vibrant lineup of over 45 bands on 6 stages, crafted to showcase a diverse array of genres and artists. Spanning Thursday to Sunday, the schedule offers you an immersive experience, with each day packed with performances from both renowned headliners and emerging talents.
Attend Rooster Walk with some added luxuries. Stay on-site in a Glamping tent or stay off-site at one of our partner hotels and ride the free patron shuttle to the festival. Here is info on both options.
The basic rules of Rooster Walk 14 are listed below. Be sure that you read through the short list of rules, as each is very important. Following these rules will ensure a safe and fun festival for everyone! These rules apply to the festival viewing areas, the campgrounds and parking areas at the festival, and the off-site parking and camping areas.
No weapons.
NO GLASS. No outside alcohol.
No swimming.
No fishing from the bank.
No dogs or pets.
No fireworks.
No drugs.
Campfires allowed only in fire bowls, weather permitting. (Subject to local fire bans.)
No ATVs, personal golf carts, etc.
Onewheels and bikes permitted on the roads in the campgrounds only. Onewheels and bikes not permitted in the festival venue/ viewing areas.
No wristband, no admittance. (Violation is trespassing and will result in eviction or arrest.)
No drones.
Sunshades welcome in designated spot in front of Lawn Stage ONLY (as indicated by signage). Space limited.
No ham radios on site.
No early entry. Gates open at 9am on Thursday.

Here’s a suggested packing list for the festival.
Rooster Walk tickets – print them out or screenshot them now, as cell service is often spotty to nonexistent on site
Drivers License (required to look up tickets and/ or for 21+ drinking wristbands)
Rooster Gear! ON SATURDAY, WE STRUT! We see lots of folks wear rooster costumes and gear throughotu the weekend, so this year, we made it official. Wear your rooster gear every day, but ESPECIALLY on Saturday of Rooster Walk.
Remember to pack as light as possible; depending on your camping plan, you may be shuttling or walking your gear a short distance. Most of these items will also be available in our festival general store, located near the festival merchandise tent.
Parking & Shuttles
Rooster Walk offers two off-site FREE shuttles (one to Martinsville and one to Danville).
To park on the festival site, you must purchase a valid parking/ camping pass in advance. These passes always sell out in advance of the festival.
If you decide not to take an off-site shuttle or to purchase an on-site parking/ camping pass, plan to park in the off-site parking lot called Mom’s Field.
Rooster Walk offers a variety of experiences such as outdoor adventures, teen scene, kids’ coop, healing arts and yoga, and more all conveniently located on Pop’s Farm!
At Rooster Walk, the vendor section highlights a vibrant array of food, specialty food, and arts and crafts vendors. Attendees can explore a diverse marketplace featuring delicious culinary delights and unique handcrafted goods, enriching their festival experience with every visit.
