Turn 5 goes “Up in Smoke!”

We’d like to extend our most sincere thanks to all the wonderful folks who helped make the Turn 5 Concert Series, headlined by Blackberry Smoke, a big success this weekend! It was awesome to see all you wonderful fans come out and support the show despite cold weather. Nothing like rocking and racing at Martinsville Speedway!!

Blackberry Smoke at Turn 5Using proceeds from the event, we’ll be donating a total of $10,000 to: the Martinsville Speedway Children’s Foundation ($5,000); the Penn-Shank Memorial Scholarship Fund at Martinsville High School ($4,000) and the Motorsports program at nearby Patrick Henry Community College ($1,000).

An extra-special thanks goes out to our volunteers from the PHCC Motorsports Program. These students were originally scheduled to help us only on Friday. When we got in a bind, they came through in a BIG way and came back to volunteer on Saturday night! Can’t thank ya’ll enough!!
