James Justin & Co., Kings of Belmont and The Heat Run also added!
Highly regarded writer/singer/multi-instrumentalists Tim O’Brien and Darrell Scott will perform at Rooster Walk 6 this spring in support of their new album, Memories & Moments.
They will be joined by newly announced bands James Justin & Co., the Kings of Belmont and The Heat Run.
Back in 2000, O’Brien and Scott had joined forces to record the deep and scintillating Real Time, which was widely acclaimed on release and has since become recognized as a towering achievement in Americana annals. Following that album, O’Brien and Scott became an in-demand touring act, hitting the road together whenever their schedules allowed. Over the ensuing years, each has been asked incessantly when their paths would next cross. Indeed, the prospect of a Real Time Redux has come to take on an almost mythic significance in roots-music circles — the down-home equivalent of a Led Zeppelin reunion.

Rooster Walk 6 will take place over Memorial Day weekend (May 22-25) at the idyllic Blue Mountain Festival Grounds in Martinsville, Va. Last year, Rooster Walk was named the top up-and-coming festival in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast U.S. by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine, as well as one of “Virginia’s Best” by readers of Virginia Living Magazine.
