Rooster Walk 6 will be headlined by the funky, dance-inducing sounds of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on Saturday, May 24th. The legendary saxophonist and his band will be joined on the RW6 lineup by the Pimps of Joytime, Stephane Wrembel & His Band, Jon Stickley Trio, Urth and Mason Via & Friends. For nearly three decades, Karl Denson has been getting crowds around the world out on the dance floor. Approaching icon status, Denson has moved bodies and minds dating back to his earliest years with Lenny Kravitz’s band through his ongoing tenure as a founding member of seminal boogaloo revivalists The Greyboy Allstars and his current roll as a member of San Diego dub rockers Slightly Stoopid. Nowhere, however, is this more apparent than with his own band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. Touring relentlessly for the past 15 years and leaving a massive audience in his wake, fans know that when KDTU is in town a dance party will ensue.

Rooster Walk is a family-friendly music and arts festival held annually near Martinsville. Last year, it was a “Best of Virginia” winner from Virginia Living Magazine, and it was also named the best “Under the Radar” festival in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.
