Learning,” a new original song from acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Anderson East, recently debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1radio show and can now be purchased at iTunes. Additionally, Rolling Stone premiered the official music video, which can now be viewed/shared via YouTube.

“Learning” is from the highly anticipated new compilation, Southern Family, which was produced and conceived by “Producer of the Year” Grammy-nominee Dave Cobb, and will be released March 18 (pre-order).

The release of Southern Family culminates a breakout year for East following his widely praised album, Delilah, out now on Low Country Sound/Elektra Records (iTunes). In celebration of the record, Anderson and his band will embark on an extensive headlining tour next week, including sold-out shows in New York, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Nashville, Birmingham and more. Tickets are now on-sale

Of Delilah, NPR Music’s Ann Powers asserts, “…a homecoming of sorts for this Athens, Ala., native, whose shoofly pie-sweet drawl and fondness for Wilson Pickett-style shouts fit perfectly within the classic soul settings he and Cobb create…East has a gruff way with phrasing and a lot of youthful enthusiasm, but he’s learning his way into mastery. There’s thought behind every rhythmic push and melismatic twist,” while Yahoo Music declares, “It’s hard to not get excited by this authentic-sounding slice of southern R&B courtesy of Nashville’s Anderson East…No excess, expressive stuff, and the sort of sincere musical statement 2015 sorely needs.” Additionally, since the album’s release, East has performed on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Myers” as well as on “CBS This Morning” (watch the full videos here: “Satisfy Me,” “Find ‘Em, Fool ‘Em, and Forget ‘Em” and “Devil In Me”).
