Walker Shank Memorial Golf Tourney

The eighth annual Walker Shank Memorial Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, April 29th at Chatmoss Country Club.

Please join us for the Walker Shank Memorial on Saturday, April 29th at Chatmoss Country Club. Walker was an avid golfer throughout his life, and competed on the Martinsville High School varsity team four years.

The tournament will feature a Captain’s Choice format with 4-person teams. This will NOT be a shotgun start. The first team will tee off at 11 a.m., with a new team teeing off every 10 minutes after that. The fee to play is $300 per team without mulligans or $340 per team to get 2 mulligans per player. All golfers will receive complimentary box lunch and be eligible for 2 closest to the pin prizes, a long-drive prize and a closest-to-the-line prize.

Congrats to “Team Kovac” for winning the 7th Annual Walker Shank Memorial Golf Tournament (2016) with a gross score of 16-under 56.

Congrats to “Team Kovac” for winning the seventh annual Walker Shank Memorial Golf Tournament with a gross score of 16-under par 56. Team members included Adam Webb, Jerel Whiting, Jake Arnold and Ronnie Fultz. Second-place gross went to the team of Justin Wooldridge, Sean Farrel, Thomas Brockman and Brent McCoy with a score of 11-under.

The first-place net winners were Will Smith, Manly Boyd, Gus Barber and Dean Johnston with a score of 17-under 55. Second-place net went to Matt Taylor, Sean Taylor, Zach Weigand and Kevin Oakly (16-under).

Contest winners were: Closest to the Pin #2 Adam Webb; Long Drive #9 Phyllis Parrent; Closest to the Line #13 Phyllis Parrent; Closest to the Pin #17 Mike Martin.
