Rooster Walk adds Josh Shilling and Clinton Gregory!

“Josh Shilling & Friends featuring members of Mountain Heart,” and Clinton Gregory join lineup

Two Nashville stars with Martinsville ties have been added to the Rooster Walk 4 band lineup.

Josh Shilling, a lead singer, piano player and guitarist for bluegrass super group Mountain Heart, will take the stage at Rooster Walk 4.

Clinton Gregory

Shilling will be joined by some of his closest friends, including many members of Mountain Heart. The ensuing show of bluegrass, blues and rock is sure to show spectators why Shilling has been invited to perform at the Grand Ole Opry more than 30 times.

Clinton Gregory also has lengthy ties with the Grand Ole Opry. A Martinsville native, Gregory moved to Nashville at the age of 12 to join his father, who was playing regularly at the Opry. Gregory, a guitarist and fifth-generation fiddle player, performed on Neil Young’s Heart of Gold documentary. His newest CD, Too Much Ain’t Enough, will be released in April. His first single from the album, “Bridges,” is currently climbing the Music Row Charts.

The answer is clear: Just volunteer

Mad at yourself for missing those early-bird prices? Yearning to donate your time to an awesome charitable festival? Completely broke and considering armed robbery as a means to pay for your Rooster Walk 4 tickets?

Well fear not, my frustrated/benevolent/deranged music fan, because the answer is clear: Just volunteer.

That’s right, we’re searching for volunteers to do a wide variety of tasks at Rooster Walk this year. From parking cars to helping with children’s workshops to recycling and beautifying, we’ve got lots of great options (too many to list, really). And what’s more, you’ll get into the festival free of charge in exchange for volunteer hours during the festival.

And if you’d like to volunteer but don’t want to miss any live music, why not consider helping out at one of our Blue Mountain Workdays in the months and weeks leading up to the festival? Or stick around the day after RW4 concludes and help us clean up?

No matter which option you prefer, you can learn more by emailing roosterwalkvolunteer@gmail.com. But don’t delay, certain volunteer duties and time slots run out quickly!

Space Capone joins lineup!!

Fan favorite at Bonnaroo will bring dance party to RW4

These guys are straight up “stone cold and runnin’ things.”

It’s Space Capone, a nationally touring, horn-backed band from Nashville that delights with its highly danceable, ’70s-style grooves and thrift store retro style.

It’s real, it’s incredible live, and it feels good. What more could you want? Space Capone has performed at Bonnaroo, the South by Southwest festival and countless clubs and fests in the southeast. They’re unique mix of funk, soul and R&B is a sound that sticks to the brain … in a good way.

Now, they’re gonna bring their dance party to Rooster Walk 4. Space Capone will play Saturday night, so make sure you save some energy for late night. … You’ll need it!!!
